To move a patient over from the SMS service to the MedAdvisor app, follow the below steps:
- Open MedAdvisor for Pharmacy and select Patients on the menu
- Search for the patient
- Under User Type, select SMS
- The Patient Details pop-up will appear with the SMS tab visible. Select the App tab
You can now sign the patient up to the app, using Instant Sign Up or add them as part of Carer mode. Click the below articles for more.

The patient's SMS account will now be converted into a MedAdvisor App account.
