Medadvisor for Pharmacy allows you to set up service bookings for a service that starts at a later date. This prevents patients from booking a service before you have resources to deliver the service.
You will need to complete the following:
- Set a location resource
- Set a generic staff resource with availability starting in the future
- Link the service to the location
Please follow these steps:
- In the top right corner, select the Settings Icon and choose Calendar settings
Set a location resource
Please note: If your Location resource is already listed under Location name, please skip to the next age - Set a generic pharmacist resource
- Select the Resources tab and choose Add a location if the service will be held in a new location.
- Enter the name of the new service location and select Save
- A confirmation will appear showing the new location has been added
Set a generic staff resource
To make the booking availability start in the future, you will need set a generic pharmacy and set their availability at a later date.
- Select the Resources tab and under Manage staff members, choose Add a staff member
- Enter the Staff name e.g 'Pharmacist - Flu Bookings'
- Set your availability range: start date as the day you would like to start taking bookings
- Set an end date OR select No end date depending on your availability to perform the service.
- Under Days and times, select the Availability drop down and choose weekly or fortnightly cycles and set the availibility you would like to take bookings, once the service is available.
- Under the heading What services can this staff member perform?, select the service e.g Flu Vaccination
- Select Save

Link the service to the location
- To add a service to the newly created location, select the Services tab
- Scroll down to the service and select the plus + Icon under Location and select the tick box next to the location you would like to take bookings
- The generic staff e.g Pharmacist - Flu Bookings will already be set
- To make the bookings visible or hidden on your customer booking website, select the eye icon

You customer will now be able to book for the service (if it was made visible) from the available start date in the future.
