SMS Reminders - Sign Up

To sign up a patient the SMS reminders, please follow these steps:

 

  • In the menu, select Patients

  • Search for the patient or select from the Recently dispensed customers list

Please note: You may search by name, address, medicare number, or date of birth

 

  • Patients who are NOT previously signed up to App or SMS reminders or Unsubscribed will show Sign Up under User Type. Select Sign Up

  • The Sign up patient pop-up will appear. Select the SMS tab.

  • Under Patient Details, enter the patients Mobile number and optionally add Email

  • Enter your Staff initials to indicate that the patient consents to receiving SMS reminders.

  • Select the Drugs you would like to send reminders for

Please note: The patient will only receive SMS reminders for the selected drugs. Once the patient is signed up, newly dispensed drugs with repeats will be automatically ticked (excluding PRN medications) 

 

  • Rx on File is preselected. Deselect this if the patient has not kept their paper prescription on file at your pharmacy.

Advanced settings

Select the below options to set up automated reminders, defer scripts, manually message the patients or view message history or queued messages that are scheduled for the future.

  • Select Save & Close

The patient will receive a SMS welcoming them to the SMS reminder service and will receive reminders to order and visit the doctor.
