Musculoskeletal Pain

Medadvisor for Pharmacy allows you to record Musculoskeletal Pain services for the management of acute mild musculoskeletal pain. Please follow these steps: 

  1. Select Patients in the menu

  1. Search for the patient, select from recently dispensed list OR select Add patient and then select Record Service 


  1. In the Services menu, select Musculoskeletal Pain 

  1. Review the Patient information and fill out all compulsory fields including DOB. 


  1. Under Consulting pharmacist details, select yourself from the Pharmacist drop-down

Please note: Today's date is pre-populated

  1. Under Pharmacist suitability, select the checkbox to confirm you have completed the required training to deliver the service


  1. Under Patient consent, select if the patient consents to the service (compulsory) and sharing their contact information with the Victorian Dept. of Health (optional). Select Patient consent to treatment and privacy for more info. 


  1. Complete the Screening questions

Please note: If the patient is not eligible the form will show an alert. Please refer the patient to their health practitioner. 

  1. Complete the Clinical review

  1. Complete the Treatment section, selecting Referral where appropriate

  1. If medication is selected, choose from the Medication list


  1. Complete the Consultation summary

  1. Select Complete to save the record in the patient consultation history
