When recording an immunisation service (including Flu and Covid vaccinations) in Medadvisor for Pharmacy software, you can view the following information from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR): 

• History
• Contraindications 
• Alerts
• Natural Immunity
• Due
• Trial
• Statement 

Participating health professionals may utilise the services and information provided, including personal information only in accordance with National (Privacy Act 1988. Health Insurance Act 1973, Australia Immunisation Register Act 2015 and other relevant legislation), State or Territory legislation, Policy and Guidelines. 

Please note: A pharmacist / authorised immuniser must be selected in the form for the immunisation history to be displayed. If no pharmacist/authorised immuniser is selected the patients' AIR record will not be shown and there is a note in the patients' vaccination details section to alert the pharmacist showing Pharmacist details missing

The history tab shows up-to-date immunisation history from the Australian Immunisation Register including date, vaccine type, dose number, status, reason code, comments, funding type, route and antenatal status. This list can be refreshed to show recent vaccinations. 

Please note: Status, Reason code and Antenatal values are provided from AIR. 

Contraindications

Contraindications are updated via the Australian Immunisation Register show date, vaccine, type, anaphylaxis and reason.

Alerts

Alerts will show any contraindications, ATSI status (Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander status) or if the patient is high risk. 

Natural Immunity

Shows data on any exemptions based on the patients demonstrated natural history. 

Due

Lists any vaccines that are due for the patient.

Trial

Lists any vaccination trials that the patient may currently or previously have participated in. 

Statement

Allows you to view, print and email the patients current immunisations history statement.
