How To Bulk Import Patients as a CSV File

Medadvisor for Pharmacy allows you to bulk upload patients and add them to groups for bulk SMS communications and recording services. Please follow these steps: 

 

  • In the menu, select Patients

 


  • Select Add Patient

 


  • In the top right-hand corner, select Bulk Import

 


  • Select Browse and choose your .CSV file from your computer files. 

InfoPlease note: Your file must meet the format requirements (see below) to upload successfully.

 


  • Select the group/s you would like to import the patients to

 


  • Select Import

 


  • The Progress widget will appear showing your import status

  • Once completed you will see successful patients uploaded in green

Uploaded patients will now be searchable in the Patient search and will receive messages sent via Communications.

 

Upload file requirements

To import Patients in bulk to save for recording of Professional Services or SMS contacting, you must first create a CSV file of the Contacts. This can be done in Microsoft Excel by creating the file and saving it as a .csv file (see below example)

 

 

Format: 

The .CSV file must include a header row with the following headings in each column with data required in the columns in bold

Title

First name

Last name

Street Address

Suburb

State

Postcode

Mobile number

Email address 

DOB

Info
Please note: There is no requirement to have anything entered in the above columns that are NOT in bold.
