During the month of June participating community pharmacies will be remunerated at $25 (excl. GST) for vaccines administered to people aged 5-64. A $16 (excl. GST) service delivery fee will be paid during June for each NIP funded Fluad Quad vaccine administered to people 65 and over to ensure there is no fee for the patient.
Do I need to register to be part of the program?
Yes, you will need to register your pharmacy by the 6th June 2022 to participate in this program. Please follow this registration link
Do I need to use the PlusOne booking system?
No, you can use any booking system. The vaccination encounter must be recorded in PlusOne.
Will all flu vaccinations from 1 June to 30 June be claimable, even if I registered after the 1 June 2022?
Yes, as long as you register by the 6 June, all vaccinations delivered from 1 June will be claimable.
How do I know if the flu vaccine has been successfully submitted for payment?
Simply record the flu vaccination encounter in PlusOne as per normal. There won’t be any pop up or message to confirm payment.
MedAdvisor will submit the vaccination claims on your behalf to NSW Health at the end of the program. Please remember, patients should not be charged for the vaccine service.
How will pharmacies get paid for the NSW free flu program
MedAdvisor will facilitate payments to pharmacies.
Pharmacies will be paid directly to their bank account within 10 business days from when the program will conclude (30 June 2022).
