Please note: This article is relevant to prescribing pharmacists who are participating in the Queensland Community Pharmacy Scope of Practice Pilot ONLY.
To activate your account for prescribing, you will need to enter your eRX Registration Number in the Edit Pharmacist sections. To access this field, follow these steps:
- Select a patient and open any of the full scope of practice forms e.g Pharmacist Consultation
- Scroll down to the Consulting pharmacist details section
- Select your name from the Pharmacist drop-down
- Click the pencil icon to edit (or select the + icon to add your details)
- The Edit pharmacist pop-up will appear. Scroll down to the Prescribing and secure messaging details section
- Enter to your eRX Registration No.
Please note: eRX registraiton numbers are case sensitive. Make sure you copy and paste the eRX registration number from the e-mail provided by MedAdvisor.
- Select Update details
If you do NOT have an eRX Registration number, please follow these steps:
- Open a web browser and visit www.erx.com.au
- Select Medical Practice
- Enter your details making sure to enter your pharmacy name instead of Surgery name and your name in the field, Doctor's Name(s).
- Select Hola Consult from the drop-down list named Prescribing Software
- IMPORTANT: Next to Your prescriber number, enter your pharmacist prescriber number

Copy this statement in the “Other comments” text box:
I am a QLD Prescribing Pilot pharmacist using MedAdvisor and Hola Consult. My pilot prescriber number was issued by Queensland Health. Please use consultadmin@hola.health as the practice email address. My personal e-mail address is [ type in personal email address ]
- Complete all other compulsory fields and select Next
- Read and accept the Terms and Conditions and select Complete Registration

Next steps:
MedAdvisor and Hola Health will work with eRx to generate your eRx ID as a prescriber.
Each prescriber will require an eRx ID per pharmacy they will prescribe in.
For instance, if Demi works as a prescriber at Pharmacy A and Pharmacy B. She will need to submit two registrations to eRx: one for each pharmacy using the same pilot prescriber number.
Final confirmation:
MedAdvisor will email your eRx ID(s) that you will need to enter into the PlusOne software for the generation of Prescriptions under the Pilot. Note, all prescriptions must be submitted to eRx during the Pilot.
